By now, I’m sure you’ve been expecting this message. With seemingly everything being cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19, we have been praying, seeking wisdom, and discussing options for our Midwest City Dance for Freedom events on March 28th. While we do not want to cancel, we have decided to postpone this event until the fall. We are currently discussing options with Ascend Dance Studios and New Harvest Life International Church to find the best weekend to hold this event and will let you know as soon as we have decided.
If you have already purchased your Dance-a-thon registration, you will remain registered for the event and T-shirts will still be available for pick-up at the event.
While this was a difficult decision, we realized we needed to do this for a few reasons:
- We want people to feel safe attending our events. If dancers and audience members do not feel safe, and therefore do not attend, we lose the ability to carry out our mission of education and awareness.
- Dance for Freedom is all about caring for the vulnerable in our society. While we are still fighting for those in trafficking, right now we also have to be mindful of those who are most vulnerable to infections as this disease is spread. If by doing this one simple thing – rescheduling our event – we can help slow the spread of COVID-19 and therefore protect those most susceptible to it, we believe that this must be done.
In the mean time, we ask that you join us in prayer for our nation and our world – especially praying for those who do not have the choice to practice “social distancing” or do not have access to medical care. We ask that you continue to help us spread awareness about the issue of human trafficking and speak up for those around the world who cannot speak for themselves.

Thank you for your partnership.
